About Dr Matthew Adams
Dr Matt Adams began his academic journey in Tauranga before pursuing Engineering at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, where a strong foundation in analytical thinking and applied science sparked an early interest in medical imaging. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours (MBBS Hons) at Monash University in Melbourne.
Returning to New Zealand, Dr Matt Adams undertook radiology training at Waikato Hospital, earning his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). He subsequently completed advanced training in diagnostic neuroradiology in Vancouver, expanding his expertise across a broad range of neuro‑imaging modalities and clinical indications.
Outside of clinical practice, he is an enthusiastic skier and mountain biker, often found exploring new trails or slopes when time allows.
